PS5 Digital Edition vs Drive Edition - These are the differences

PlayStation 5 - Drive Edition:

You can only use games on discs with the "normal" PS5, as only this model has a drive that is necessary for this. In contrast to the digital edition, the case is a little clunkier.

PlayStation 5 - Digital Edition:

With the slimmer Digital Edition, you can logically not use discs because of the missing drive.

Here you are completely dependent on digital downloads from the PS Store and thus a (fast) internet connection.

This restriction doesn't just apply to games. Logically, you won't be able to play 4K Blu-rays with the Digital Edition either. In return, the model is of course available at a lower price.
