Chinese Video-Sharing Social Networking Tiktok Banned In USA

Chinese video-sharing social networking service Tiktok Ban in America:

Everyone wants to know about Chinese video-sharing social networking service Tiktok is being banned in the USA.

Since launching in 2016, TikTok has skyrocketed in the first quarter of this year as the third most installed app worldwide.

But the Chinese-owned company has been accused of gathering more information than it needs to.

U.S. officials have expressed concern that the Chinese government is using the app to gather information from Americans. The U.S. military has already banned its members from using Tiktok.

In a recent interview, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo also said the Trump administration is looking at banning tickets.

He advised Americans that if they wanted to keep Chinese social media applications loaded like ticks, they would not want their "personal information in the hands of the Chinese Communist Party."

The United States, which has already tried to limit Chinese hardware imports from companies like Huawei, will not be the first country to deny Tiktok.

India recently banned Tiktok and other Chinese apps after clashes on the border between the two countries, killing 20 Indian soldiers.

U.S. officials are concerned about the same thing Indian officials are concerned about: the app is a data collection tool for the Chinese government.

Tiktok says it does not work with Beijing and has tried to distance itself from the Chinese government. It has been argued that Kevin Mayer, the CEO of Tiktok, is American.
