World Health Organization

Donald Trump suspends US funding for The World Health Organization:

The United States has just closed the WHO funding valve with reason: it has not done its job in the fight against COVID-19.

The World Health Organization will have no choice but to change the way it does business. So is survival.

WHO Pays The Price for Its Incompetence:

The United States has just turned off the funding valve with good reason: WHO has not done its job in the fight against COVID-19.

By its very name, the World Health Organization has no leeway to analyze with surgical precision any world event that suggests the outbreak of a potential pandemic.

Perhaps President Donald Trump should have looked more closely at the first reports provided to him by the WHO, but as the main contributor, the Donald Trump administration surely thought, wrongly of course, that it could trust the organization's analyzes.

WHO'S Complicity With China:

However, not only were WHO's analyzes unreliable, but they revealed an organization that supported Chinese leaders when they muzzled doctors who wanted to alarm the authorities when the first cases of coronavirus appeared.

On December 26, 2019, when four cases of atypical pneumonia were reported among customers and employees of a Wuhan wildlife market, local doctors were reprimanded by the authorities for expressing their concern publicly.

These authorities were quick to reassure themselves by claiming that the four patients had not been the object of human-to-human contamination.

Spread Of CoronaVirus:

A little less than a month later, on January 20, overwhelmed by the increasing number of cases, the Chinese authorities have publicly admitted that the coronavirus poses a serious threat and that it is transmitted by the human species.

But the government was in no hurry to confront the problem. It was not until January 23 that Wuhan was cordoned off, but millions of residents had already left the area.

The geographic spread of COVID-19 outside of China had already started. The first cases were reported in Japan on January 16, in South Korea on the 20th, Taiwan on the 21st and Singapore on the 23rd.

But it took another week for WHO to declare the health emergency in China and wait until March 11 for the declaration of a global pandemic.

Change Focus Desired:

WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus is neither a doctor nor a scientist, he is an Ethiopian politician.

He is from the Popular Front for the Liberation of Tigray and held ministerial posts before being appointed to WHO in 2017.

Indeed, shortly after his appointment, he attempted to appoint Zimbabwe’s ex-dictator Robert Mugabe as a goodwill ambassador for WHO.
What is expected of Tedros, the head of WHO is to watch carefully for the possibility of a pandemic outbreak on a planetary scale and to put politics aside?

Now that the WHO box is empty, perhaps Donald Trump has caught his eye.
