System sprinkler Movie Wins The Film Award:

Best feature film, best main actor, best script: The drama "Systemsprenger" by Nora Fingscheidt was awarded eight times at the German Film Award.

The drama "System Sprenger" won the Golden Lola as the best feature film. The German Film Academy in Berlin announced this on Saturday night.

Director Nora Fingscheidt tells of a girl who is prone to outbreaks of violence and keeps falling through the youth welfare system.

Two further prizes went to the actors:

The eleven-year-old Helena Zengel played the leading role and received the Lola for the best female leading role for her portrayal of little Benni. Albrecht Schuch received the Lola as the best leading actor.

There were also awards for the script, direction, editing and sound design. Gabriela Maria Schneider was also honoured as the best female supporting actress.

Also awarded 'Berlin Alexanderplatz':

ZDF program director Norbert Himmler was happy about the award and congratulated everyone involved. "Systemsprenger" is a co-production by the ZDF editorial staff "Das Kleine Fernsehspiel".

The literary adaptation "Berlin Alexanderplatz" was awarded a silver Lola. A bronze Lola went to the producers of the drama "The spoken word counts".

The Lolas are the most important national award in the film industry. Because of the corona pandemic, a big gala was waived this year, instead, the awards were announced at a television show on the first.
