PS5 News 2020

PS5 News 2020 - apparently leaked performance data:

No surprise with the logo, Microsoft out classified Sony in internal benchmarks. Sony is committed to continuity in naming its console.

The next game device from the Japanese manufacturer Playstation 5 or PS5 will be called. At CES, which is currently taking place in Las Vegas, Sony has also unveiled the console logo.

There is no surprise here either. The biggest difference is that the version shown lacks the trademark and copyright sign. It remains to be seen whether these are no longer included in the final version.

PS5 2020 - 106 million PS4 sold:

At the same time, Sony used the tech fair to publish sales figures for its gaming division. 106 million PS4, 1.15 billion PS4 games and five million PSVR headsets have been sold.

At the same time, the company points out that it has 103 million monthly users and 38.8 million PS Plus subscribers. This is a monthly subscription that includes online gaming and free games.

PS5 News - Presentation probably before E3:

Apart from the logo, no further details have been released for the PS5. In many places, Sony was expected to show the new console at CES for the first time.

So far it is known what the developer version looks like, which caused lively discussions. In mid-December, competition Microsoft already showed the new Xbox with the bulky name Xbox Series X.

Meanwhile, Sony is taking its time and will probably show its new gaming device before the E3 2020, which takes place in early June.

PS5 2020 - Significant performance data escaped:

So far, it has been known for both consoles that the graphics card and CPU are set to AMD and native ray tracing is included.

An SSD is also installed for the first time on both gaming devices, which should drastically reduce the loading times.

Recently alleged performance data of the two upcoming consoles are said to have been wiped out.

In a Github repository, AMD collected non-public information about the PS5 and Xbox Series X. If the information is authentic, the Microsoft console reaches 12 teraflops and the PS5 only 9.2.
