Claudine Auger

Claudine Auger Is Dead:

The French actress died at the age of 78 in her native Paris. Claudine Auger became known as the bond girl "Domino" in "Feurerball".

She was one of the first "Bond Girls" in film history: French actress Claudine Auger died in Paris on Wednesday, as her agency Time Art announced on Thursday.

Auger was 78 years old. In the 1960s, she played alongside Sean Connery in the James Bond film "Fireball".

Her first film role was on the side of Romy Schneider and Alain Delon in the film "Christine" from 1958.

However, she only achieved international fame in 1965 with her role as Dominique "Domino" Derval in "Fireball", which was filmed in the Bahamas - and therefore offered a lot of opportunity for bikini scenes.

Auger was born in Paris in 1941 and started her career as a model. In 1958 she received second place in the "Miss World" competition.

In her four-decade film career, she starred in over 80 cinema and television productions, mainly in France and Italy.

In a television interview in 1965, Auger said that the role in the Bond film hardly differs from other roles that it played in Molière productions: in both cases, it was "a game, it's the same thing," said Auger at the time
