Canadian actor Andrew Dunbar is dead. He died on Christmas Eve in his apartment in Belfast, reports the portal "Belfast Live".

The actor had worked on the popular HBO series “Game of Thrones” as the body double of Theon Greyjoy, which is played by the actor Alfie Allen.

He also appeared as an ally of John Snow at the Battle of the Bastards in season six of the series.

A memorial service is scheduled to take place on Monday at the Ballywillan Presbyterian Church in Portrush in Northern Ireland. According to media reports, Dunbar was only in his mid-30s.

Andrew Dunbar's surprising death shook the "Game of Thrones" family. The actor was the body and light double for Alfie Allen (33), who played Theon Graufreud in the hit series.

Allen now paid tribute to him in his Instagram story. The 33-year-old wrote that he was "extremely shocked and sad" after hearing about Dunbar's death.
