Negotiations are running: Marvin Plattenhardt before England change

Marvin Plattenhardt

Marvin Plattenhardt:

Last summer, an England change of Marvin Plattenhardt failed because of the transfer request of Hertha BSC. Now seems missed to be made up for. The talks are on.

That comes as a surprise: Marvin Plattenhardt could leave Hertha BSC on the last day of the English transfer period and move to Watford.

As the 'Daily Mail' reported, talks are currently taking place between the Hornets and the Old Lady. A replacement in the unnamed amount should already have been negotiated.

Actually, Plattenhardt seemed to play a good role under the new Hertha coach Ante Covic, who had the German national team during the preparation several times from the beginning to play.

Obviously, Hertha is now but weak and would let the left-back pull against a corresponding remuneration. Watford's Plattenhardt alternative is said to be Danny Rose (Tottenham Hotspur).

FT opinion: The motto is the same as in Valentino Lazaro: If the small change is correct, a Plattenhardt sale for Hertha makes perfect sense.

There are still a few weeks left to improve and English clubs are always good for offers above market value.
